Budget Friendly Cruise Vacations

Have you ever dreamed of boarding a cruise liner to watch whales as they swim in the majestic ocean or discover the diverse islands in the Caribbean? Although most people have this assumption that cruises are one of the most expensive ways to travel, not all of them are as extravagantly priced as one would initially think.

In fact, there is quite a selection of operators around that cater to the budget traveler, costing you no more than $50 USD a day, the equivalent to the nightly rate at a cheap hotel. Of course, some would rather pay for a flight on a cheap carrier despite the possibility of extra costs as highlighted on Parking4Less, but the beauty of a cruise is that you’re paying for both your transportation and your accommodation. If you can afford an airplane ticket plus a few nights at a budget hotel, then you can definitely travel luxuriously for less on any of the following cruises.

Carnival Cruise Lines
Beginning and ending in Miami with stops in Cozumel in Mexico, Belize City in Belize, Mahogany Bay in Honduras and Georgetown in Grand Cayman, Carnival Cruise Lines take you on a weeklong Caribbean adventure for $304, or around $43 a night. The trip on the Carnival Glory is now available year round and can accommodate almost 3,000 passengers.

Princess Cruises
A multitude of liners offer one- to three-night sailings for weekend getaways, including Princess Cruises. Starting at $134 for three nights or $46.47 per day, you’ll sail from Vancouver to Los Angeles. Quick trips to Seattle and San Francisco are also available on Princess.

Costa Cruises
Costa Cruises also have options for 3 day vacations on the Costa Fortuna, sailing in the west Mediterranean sea from Barcelona to Palma de Mallorca in Spain, passing through Marseille in France and concluding in Savona, Italy. Cruise deals start at $199 or $66.33 a day.
